Currently, only a small number of destinations have clearly defined legacy and impact strategies and use outcome and impact indicators to monitor their non-financial performance.

Creating meaningful impact through events is no longer optional - it’s essential.

This course, designed and delivered in partnership with #MEET4IMPACT, helps destination professionals:

  • Develop a legacy and impact strategy aligned with their organisation's mission.
  • Understand and apply key impact measurement frameworks.
  • Build confidence in reporting and communicating impact effectively.
  • Engage stakeholders through dynamic, actionable tools and simulations

What will you learn at this course?

The Course is structured around four modules and an optional one:

    1. Understand the foundations of social impact, including legacy, principles of impact management, and how events serve as catalysts for change.

    1. Discover how strategic alignment and vision setting at destination, city, and national levels build internal capacity to catalyse sustainable impact.

    1. Learn how to develop stakeholder strategies, foster an impact ecosystem, and implement impactful projects through effective planning and engagement.

    1. Dive into frameworks, methodologies, and tools for measuring, analysing, and communicating impact in alignment with global goals and storytelling best practices.

    1. Choose from targeted areas such as legacy strategy development, forming an impact ecosystem, SDG alignment, or building impact dashboards.
